Full Description
August 1994: Trenching in the area of the proposed development identified a large feature which is undoubtably the remains of cellars belonging to the buildings that used to front onto High Baxter Street. It would appear that the remaining area has at some time been levelled and no occupation layers could be seen immediately over the subsoil (S1).
April 1995: Assessment of area of proposed extension to Marks & Spencers to E of High Baxter Street located two small sherds Thetford ware amongst Med and Pmed material. (S2).
