Full Description

Rectangular earthwork banked enclosure c.350m x 230m with slight outer ditch located in deciduous woodland on Knettishall Heath on north facing slope. Dimensions c.1.4m wide and 60cm high. Corresponds with `Heath Cover' on 1840 Tithe Map (S1), an area of isolated woodland within heathland. Woodland has since expanded to cover a large amount of the heath (S2). (Similar plantation enclosures at Elveden and KNE 019).
