Full Description

1980: Three sides of small (circa 20 x 30m internal) rectangular water filled moat, open, or with small ditch to SW. Entrance near NE corner facing outer building (S1). Little change to that shown on 1904 map (S2) except entrance now larger and trees absent. Surrounded by other more irregular bodies of water that may once have formed larger moated enclosure surrounding Hall buildings. Smaller moat probably separate moated garden.
