1995: Monitoring of construction trench prior to building new wall demonstrated series of C16/C17 and later horizons and features but nothing earlier, suggesting truncation of early deposits and rapid build up of soil to present level. The pits were not excavated and may be medieval below the upper fills (S1)(S2).
