Full Description
November 1995: Monitoring of excavation of stanchion holes for farm outbuilding revealed remains of a Rom oven or, probably, a pottery kiln. Finds comprised of Roman grey wares of C2 and later, with an indented beaker and mortaria sherds suggesting a C3 onwards date. Details & illustrations in (S1)(S2). Adjoins major Roman `small town', HCH 001.
