Full Description

Cropmark of a rectangular enclosure, crossed by a recent field boundary (now gone). The ditches of the W side of the enclosure, where it abutts Stuston Common are still preserved (S1).
An enclosure in this position is shown on the OS first edition map. Within the enclosure area is a scatter of Med pottery, mainly unglazed C13-C14 wares, 2 sherds from decorated Grimston type jugs and 2 other Med glazed sherds; also 1 rim and 1 ornamented body sherd of Rom grey ware (S2).
