Full Description
1995: Fieldwalking and metal detecting survey by Lowestoft Archaeological and Local History Society Field Group, by `casual line-walk'. Finds from field 67/68 listed as a flint hammerstone, 7 unpatinated flint flakes, unpatinated scraper, 1 pot boiler, 9 Medieval sherds, 7(+?) Post Medieval sherds, Medieval(?) brick fragment, part of sandstone hone (Un), Post Medieval clay pipe stems and a fragment of an ornamental door knocker (Post Medieval?). A Post Medieval infilled dump containing bottles and stoneware was also noted (S1).
Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on details of discovery, (S2).
