Full Description
Site of York Bridge. Marked and named on Warren's 1747 map of Bury (S1) & on OS 1st edition map. Now modern steel footbridge, still named York Bridge. Possibly on line of Med (& Sax?) defences (see BSE 140) and may be Med in origin.
