Full Description
Octagonal red-brick dovecote of probable C18 date (S1). Shown on a map of 1829, named as `Pigeon House' on the 1839 Tithe Map and as `Dove House' on an 1871 map (S1). Not shown on modern 1:10000 map.
Believed to have been built in 1828 and appears never to have been used for its designed purpose ('just too clean to have housed pigeons')(S3).
