Full Description

Anti-glider defence ditches on Tinker's Walks (S1). Further occasional examples to E & SE and major group to SE - see WLB 022.
The anti-glider ditches can be seen on aerial photographs from 1945 (S2) as earthwork ditches, with small, circular piles of spoil adjacent to them. They are also visible as slight earthwork on 1973 aerial photographs (S3) ans on 1997 aerial photographs (S4), again, as slight earthworks. The ditches range from c 70m to c 125m in length.
