Boat yard listed in Suffolk Directory for 1855 (S1) and 1885 (S2). Marked on map of 1867 (S3).

Built on land reclaimed after the construction of the Wet Dock in 1840s. Occupied by William Bayley and Sons (S1)(S2) who relocated from St Clements Yard when Wet Dock constructed (S5). Further details in (S4).
