Full Description

1292: One dovecote with annual value of 2 shillings listed in taxation of February 22, 1292 (S1)(R1).
1515: Valor Ecclesiasticus return values "one close, in which lie the dwelling house (the rectory), the barn and the dove-house of the said rectory, containing, by estimation, one acre, of the yearly value of 13d 4d" (S1).
Exact location of C13-C16 rectory not known.
Location of one dovecote probably TL 6800 7088C "Dovecote Pasture", site of rectangular enclosure c.130m x 100m, which surrounds circular ring ditch (see FRK 035).
