Full Description

June 1945: Described by Grace Briscoe as 30 yards in circumference and 5 feet wide circle with possible entrance strip 6 yards by 6 feet wide. Orientated E-W. ?Entrance on lower, W side. Outlined by ring of chalk & flints. Easily distinguishable except on higher (E) side. Also fades by ?entrance! Some 30 yards W of Black Ditch and 16 yards W of pylon. From the dyke it appears to be slightly raised. One pot boiler and one sherd brown glazed pottery found among surface (?natural) flints (S3). Ring ditch of diameter 24m. No trace on the ground and no finds. The area appears as unnamed waste land on the Enclosure Map of 1802 (S1, S2). A second ring ditch circa 50m away (CAM 008).
