Ancient woodland as defined in (S1). Bull's Wood (now owned by Suffolk Wildlife Trust).
For details of history and earthworks see (S1), the Sufolk Wildlife Trust, English Nature, the County Council Countryside section and various Oliver Rackham works, including (S2).
Jan 2013: revised to include lost former area to S (see tithe map and 2008 map by Vera Lloyd in large hanging cabinet).
