Full Description
Circa 1968: Torc reputedly found in area where pigs kept by Charlie Lock and the late Edwin Bird. Not identified when found & consequently thrown back into 'piggery' surface. Site now covered by very large artificial mound in front of Center Parcs development (S1).
Similar objects seen soon afterwards (in Norwich Castle Museum?) but item could not be refound as re-buried by pigs.
Possible LIA gold torc - note IA coins from ELV 013 and tankard burials from ELV 005, both within circa 100 metres, and flexed(?) inhumations (ELV 030) to SW.
