Full Description

Small square earthwork platform and moat. Details to follow (S1). Shown on 1984 OS map as within wooded area named 'The Queech'.
Feb 2000: earthwork survey - details in (S2).
Possibly garden type feature of Tudor date or Medieval hunting lodge site.
Also note hollow way SNN 022 extending from west side of the Queech (about TL 8708 5634) to east to Rookwood Farm Cottages (and possibly originaly beyond to the green, Stanningfield Hall and the church).
