Full Description
June 2000: Evaluation at rear of 71 Broad Street demonstrated presence of Med walls (probably part of Friary, ORF 002) overlying Med pit or linear feature. Details in (S1).
2003: Monitoring revealed medieval walls belonging to the 13th century friary of Orford. These consisted of two separate walls which were recorded before they were destroyed by the construction work. Two graves, one disturbed by the other were also identified and partially excavated (S2).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2003 (S3).
