Full Description

1994: Flint Hand axe. Dark grey or black flint, ovoid shape and flat profile.

There must be some doubt about the provenance of this find. The finder is not certain where it was found but noted that it is possible that the handaxe was brought to the site from elsewhere as prt of footpath repair (S1-S3).

Enterred in HER as from Assington but findspot actually in Bures St Mary.
