Full Description
Moat, inhabited, parts of two square compounds, occupied.
Trial trenching identified the earliest features of pits were of 15th or 16th century date. Other features identified included post medieval pits, post-holes and the walls of a range of buildings recorded on the Tithe Map of 1841 and still present on the Second edition Ordnance Survey map of 1902 (S1).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2001 (S3).
