Full Description
Area of land called Thingelow in C13-C14; suggested as possible site of unknown meeting place of Plomesgate hundred. (though not in Plomesgate!). Derivation probably from old English 'Thing' (meeting) and 'Waw' (mound) suggesting sited in area of cemetery mounds (see Sax)(S1).
