Full Description

"Brooch, diameter 0.95 inch, thickness 0.09 inch. Beast. right, passant, with head turned backward and mouth open. Tail projecting to rear. Division of feet not distinct. The design is enclosed in a plain raised rim, 0.75 inch in diameter, within a plain border, slightly bevelled out. Hinge and remains of catchplate". Hinge at position of Number 8 on a clock face looking at the brooch from the front and the catchplate at 2 (S1).
