Full Description
Remains of probable sub-rectangular moat, N, E and E end of S arm shown on OS 1884 map. Causeway in centre of N arm. N & E arms only shown on 1984 OS map. Building in centre of moat, though not aligned. The OS 1st edition (1836) & Hodskinsons 1783 maps both show a N-S road adjoining the W side of the mot with buildings to the W and E of the road (including that within the moat?)(S1)(S2).
