Full Description

2003: Footprint of garage stripped of topsoil to depth of natural (300-400mm). Site within 40m of parish church and believed to be within the platform of, or over an infilled arm of, a moat. Only one intervention observed in the stripped area, an amorphous pit containing charcoal, animal bone and frequent oyster shell. The date and function of this feature are unknown (S1).
