Full Description
2001: 0.9ha excavation revealed ring of ESax burials (see Sax) surrounding presumed site of levelled EBA barrow of circa 20m diameter with two central, probably BA, crouched, inhumations, one with a bronze awl. A further crouched, probably contemporary (broadly) burial was found further to the north. Also a series of BA pits, some containing beaker pottery, were also discovered. Summary in (S1).
