Full Description

AP showing possible circular mound earthwork within Woodbridge airfield (SUT 197) complex (S1). Also shown on RAF AP (S2).
See also SUT 201 - socketed axe formerly numbered as SUT 198.

June 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The mound described above could not be identified on the aerial photographs at this location. An earthwork mound was visible approximately 270m to the south west, at TM 3267 4800, but this was not considered to be archaeological in origin as it appeared to represent a clearance of spoil for Woodbridge Airfield car park.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 17th June 2015.
