Full Description

August 2002: Possible corduroy trackway exposed about four feet deep in pipe trench, said to be about 3-4 inches deep, consisting of 'broomstick' size timber sticks running across the SW-NE cut, along whole of circa 5 feet wide by 60 feet long trench (S1).
For another possible corduroy trackway see HGW 013. In river valley of River Waveney and Broad Water. Finds metal detected from same field include several Med coins and Saxon artefacts (possible BUN 050 & Misc, which may have been mislocated). Spoil spread on hill elsewhere - subsequent finds included Roman brooch, possibly (?) from this spoil.
