Full Description

Roman pottery (and Neolithic worked flints) scatters. 2004: area of about 100m by 30m stripped of turf and nettles (in february 2002) for ecological reasons revealing grey sandy soil over sand. Rapid walk over surface identified 60 sherds Roman Greyware and Horningsea 'fine' and storage ware. Also 20 neolithic flints. Finds left in situ (S1). S edge of stripped area becoming peaty.
