Massive area denoted as 'Brick Kiln Yard' on Pennington's 1778 map. Note finds from Rope walk (IPS 202 and 450) to North, (S1).

Also visible on ogilby's map (smaller) 1674, (S2).

The northern part of this site is also visible on 1843 Tithe Map of St Helen's as a "pottery". Tithe apportionment states: Landowner: Gooding Sarah Widow, Occupier: Shaoland George, Description: Buidlings and Land (S3).
