Full Description

Cransford Lodge - location and name suggest a possible former medieval(?) hunting lodge. Shown on 1827 & 1880s OS maps as Cransford Lodge, and on Hodskinson map 1783 as a possible building on the other side of the SW-NE road. Modern map shows it as Wood Lodge. Not mentioned in (S1). On 1827 map within large open enclosure with access from SW. By 1880s enclosed area wooded.
Not listed. Further historic research needed.
