Circumstantial evidence suggests mills existed in Beccles during Pmed period.
S1 reports that in Beccles there was:
1 miller in 1550-1559
1 miller in 1600-1649
5 millers in 1844
3 millers in 1912.
No mills mentioned, or no statement if water or corn milling.
