Full Description
Second World War reconnaissance airfield at Westley, south of Newmarket Road & east of Westley Hall. Details in (S1).
Westley was a small grass airfieldroughly half a mile square and it had a small hanger and club-house. The planes which took off from Westley were on observation missions.
In 1944 to the late forties a gliding school was set up at Westley.
