Full Description
Probable former moat north of former green (TDE 016) & Malting Farm moat (TDE 001).
Formerly HER'd as part of Malting farm moated complex.
Only parts of N and E arms now survive, original layout unclear though butted N side of former green shown on enclosure map (1812?).
Enclosure, tithe and other documentary sources need checking.
Note Listed Building at (& overlying?) NW corner of northern arm.
Note: a series of farm buildings (Thompsons Farm on 1880s OS map, now Home Farm Barn) just outside the possibly original E entrance to the moat may include elements of original associated farmyard complex.
