Full Description

Sub-manor site of French Hall - see (S1, & Copinger) for list of owners from 1210-18th century.
The existing building (as mapped in 1880s) is not listed, suggesting it is not an early structure. Research needed.
Note: grant of market (see MUN Misc) granted to John de Agreaus of French Hall Manor in 1297/8. 'Market Field' is a large area to the rear (west) of French Hall.
Deeds of French Hall, mansion of Fryatts, sheepwalk etc, 1659-1821 held by Suffolk Record Office (Bury), HB 510/1/8. Not seen.
