Full Description
Small bronze leaf shaped arrowhead - remains of [incomplete?] oval-sectioned socket containing much concreted ironstone, pronounced central rib, 51 (+) mm long by 14mm wide. Drawing in file. Metal detected in August/September 2005. Cited NGR (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) accurate to field only. Recorded as 'Bronze Age spearhead' by Norfolk (S1) but clearly arrowhead.
Exact findspot needs checking with finder - Norfolk confirmed they would attempt to do this March 2007.
March 2007: findspot checked - revised to completely different field at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(centralised NGR to small field)(S2), a flood plain edge site producing mostly Post Med finds - also see MTT 009 PMed & Un (earthworks).
Also previous metal detected rapier (fragment?) - see Portable Antiquities database?
