Chilton Hall complex including possible moated site, Listed House & barn and other buildings. Shown on Bowens 1755 map (S1). Further documentary and cartographic research needed.
Parts of probable surrounding moat and ponds shown on early OS maps - only large central pond now mapped.
Chilton named as Ciltuna in 1086 (DB); Chylton in 1439 & 1453 (R1).
