Full Description
Rom pottery, etc found in dredging river nearby. Also LSax pottery at same site (S1).
Ballast pits near here during 1939 - 1945 war (at approximately TL 9230 7413) but no recorded finds. Site is said to be that of ancient village. Pits visited by Basil Brown 3 August 1950 (S1).
