Full Description

A red brick mill with a pantiled roof, and mill race (Listed). Also lock gates on adjoining river.
All the machinery has been removed. It is now a paper store (S1).
Recorded as having wheel, with four pairs of stones (S2).
Probably same as watermill mapped by Eman Bowen in 1755 (S3) and Jos Hodskinson in 1783 (S4).
Earlier history not checked. Construction date unknown.
Listing describes it as late 18th century (though note mapped by 1755) watermill with mill race.
HER mapping after OS 1880s.
