Full Description

An archaeological monitoring was carried out on land at Chamberlain's Buildings. Previous archaeological work in the area has discovered both Roman and prehistoric evidence within 100m to the north-east. A small concentration of pits and two shallow linear features were found towards the south-west of the proposed area. Recovered finds consist of burnt stone and a single Roman coin from one gully and a Neolithic blade from one pit (S1).
