Full Description

April-May 2009: two rectangular, circa 15m by 10m and 1.5m deep pits, identified during rapid survey. Clearly defined with near vertical sides at each end and sloping sides along length to a V-shaped base. Sharp definition suggests probably relatively recent, suggested as possibly Post Medieval logging pits? (S1).
