Full Description
Monitoring of groundworks at 63, High Street, Lowestoft, was required to investigate the archaeological potential of the site. One pit was observed in the north west corner of the site, from which two adjoining sherds of 'Tudor Green' pottery, dating from c.1380-1500, were recovered from the section. A corner of a flint and mortar wall of uncertain date was also observed, cutting the pit (S1).
