Full Description

Archaeological monitoring of groundworks revealed pits and layers of overburden to a depth of 1.7m from the ground surface, however, as the trenches had to be shored to prevent collapse, very little of the trench sections were fully visible. Medieval pottery sherds and a fragment of human bone were recovered from the upcast spoil (S1).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2007 (S2)
