Full Description

Sherds, date C12 - C13. In water-main on N side of path from Friday Street on W side of small valley (approximately on 50 foot contour). Reported by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), excavated by SEW (Ipswich Museum) February 1952. Red and black patches extending for at least 30-40 feet along both sides of the trench. Fair amount of pottery, burnt stones etc. Section much obscured (S1).
