Road described as alternative route for Peddars Way prior to 1671 per W G Clarke; also described as conjectured course of Peddars Way from America Lodge prior to 1671 per W G Clarke (S1).
These notes are entered on maps 12 and 14 by an unknown hand at the Archaeology Branch of the Ordnance Survey.
Bank survives along line of parish boundary - rabbit warren boundary bank(?). For excavation of bank see Knettishall 023.
