Full Description

Nine footing trenches were dug, revealing a late medieval/early post-medieval pit or posthole, two post-medieval topsoil layers, one undated posthole, and a post-medieval brick and chalk lump domed capping structure, which covered a well, and its associated construction trench. An undated topsoil layer was also uncovered. It appeared that there may have been some truncation of the archaeological levels as a result of post-medieval activity (S1).
