Full Description
2010: Monitoring of work for a storage barn within an area that has already produced metal detector finds indicating later Iron Age/earlier Roman activity recorded a probable pit, containing 1st-2nd/3rd century pottery. The surface of the adjacent field was also scanned and a moderately dense scatter of Roman pottery was noted. Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2010 (S1). Full report to follow.
