Full Description

Basil Brown gives a sketch map of the site location and adds "Field with many sherds of Late Saxon or Early Medieval pottery, particulars and plan from Mr Beatty.
18/6/1954. He also states "Occupation and pottery of Late Saxon or Early Mediaeval periods and furnace found in pipe line 1953-54." . The site is marked on his 6" OS map but there are no notes which give further information. (S1)
