Full Description

15th C timber-framed and rendered farmhouse with a tiled roof; the farmhouse is also surrounded by a moat (MCK 004). The house has a crown post roof and a number of mullioned windows. It originally had 2 bays although a cross wing was added in the 16th C; at this time a newell staircase was also put in place. Further modernisation continued in the 17th C with the parlour block being reconstructed on a larger scale as well as the addition of a new entrance and lobby (S1).
