Monument record RAT 018 - Mill converted into observation post

Please read our .

Summary

Mill had stopped work in 1935. Presumably it was missing its cap and top 4 feet of brickwork when it was converted into an observation post. The top floor was lined with a thick layer of concrete and this became the observation platform. Most of the mill's windows on upper floors are blocked up with brick. Unlike most windmills turned into observation posts this one still contains much of its machinery.
