Summary

Type 22 pillbox (thick walled), of standard construction. 'L'-shaped blast wall joined to pillbox at one end. Embrasure in blast wall, but none in entrance wall, which faces NNW. Brick anti-ricochet wall. Embrasures have been (roughly) blocked.

Full Description

At No Man's Meadows, Bury St. Edmunds, some 350m NE of roundabout junction of A134/A14 roads, SE of British Sugar works on W bank of River Lark, near footpath some 300m from A14 road. Type 22 pillbox (thick walled), of standard construction. 'L'-shaped blast wall joined to pillbox at one end. Embrasure in blast wall, but none in entrance wall, which faces NNW. Brick anti-ricochet wall. Embrasures have been (roughly) blocked.
