Summary

Type 23 pillbox, of 'crude' construction. Separate blast wall outside entrance, approx. 1.8m high x 0.9m wide x 0.4m thick. Embrasures in annex have lintels over. Vertical crack in full height of one side of annex.

Full Description

On common at Barking Tye village, on B1078 road, 3.5 miles SW of Needham Market. Type 23 pillbox, of 'crude' construction. Separate blast wall outside entrance, approx. 1.8m high x 0.9m wide x 0.4m thick. Embrasures in annex have lintels over. Vertical crack in full height of one side of annex (S1). Some confusion with BRK 110 searchlight battery.
